Whether residents wish to enjoy some time to themselves, or whether they want to invite their loved ones for an alfresco meal, our gardens are the ideal spot for those who love the outdoors.
When the weather allows, we host as many activities in the garden as possible. Enjoying the garden allows residents to enjoy a change of scenery and make the most of the various wildlife that visits us. Our Activity Coordinators plan many activities around the gardens themselves, with activities such as planting flowers and vegetables and watering the plants. We encourage all of our residents to take part in activities in the garden as they have great health and social benefits, as well as offering residents a sense of ownership and responsibility.
Summertimes at Ridgeway Rise are much anticipated and loved by residents and staff alike. We aim to make the most of the dry, warm weather whenever we can; sunny days can see us hosting BBQs, entertainment outdoors, as well as our popular annual Summer Fête. These are great opportunities for our residents to socialise and invite loved ones to join in with the fun too.
We are proud of the first-class facilities available at Ridgeway Rise. Our beautifully landscaped gardens are available to residents all year round and we encourage them to make the most of our outdoor areas.
Our raised flower beds are a beautiful sight for our residents when they are enjoying time outside. We encourage residents to enjoy the calm and satisfying activity of planting. Our raised beds means all residents are able to get green fingered and plant their own flowers.
With accessible, comfortable furniture in our outdoor spaces, residents can best enjoy time outside now more than ever. Whether they wish to read a book on one of the benches provided, indulge in an afternoon tea, or just catch up with friends and family, there is always the option to sit and watch the world go by.
Many of our residents enjoy the beauty of nature, as a result we have adapted our gardens to include a bird feeder. We are fortunate that a variety of bird species visit our gardens and the residents have lots of fun greeting and identifying them.

By combining the highest quality of care alongside a variety of enriching activities, we are able to enhance residents’ wellbeing and sense of routine.
